Refex Renewables Wins Rs 79 Crore Contract for Bio-CNG Plant in Coimbatore

Refex Renewables & Infrastructure has announced that its subsidiary, Refex Green Power, has secured a Rs 78.54 crore order from the Coimbatore Municipal Corporation to set up a 250 TPD Bio-CNG plant in the city. This project will be executed under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model on a Design, Build, Finance, Operate, and Transfer (DBFOT) basis for a duration of 20 years.

The plant is expected to be fully operational within 19 months from the signing of the concession agreement, which is anticipated to take place within 30 days of receiving the letter of award (LOA). Refex Renewables & Infrastructure specializes in engineering, procurement, and construction services for solar power plants, solar water pumps, and residential solar systems.

For Q3 FY25, the company reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 10.45 crore, compared to a net loss of Rs 8.54 crore in Q3 FY24. Revenue from operations declined by 22.6% YoY, amounting to Rs 15.90 crore for the quarter ending December 31, 2024. Refex Renewables & Infrastructure Limited (RRIL), formerly known as SunEdison Infrastructure Limited, is a prominent Indian company specializing in renewable energy solutions.

Established in 1994, RRIL has expanded its operations across approximately 80 sites in 11 states, offering services such as the design, execution, installation, and maintenance of solar power systems.
