Ramkrishna Forgings Secures Rs 710 Crore in Q4 Orders, Strengthening Diversification Efforts

Ramkrishna Forgings, a leading auto component manufacturer, announced new orders totaling Rs 710 crore in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2025, with contracts spanning four years. Approximately 74% of these new orders are from the automotive sector, while the remaining 23% come from non-automotive areas, aligning with the company’s ongoing diversification strategy, as shared during a post-results analyst call.

A senior company official highlighted that Ramkrishna Forgings anticipates significant growth from the passenger vehicle segment, with related revenue expected to begin flowing in from fiscal year 2027. Of the total Rs 710 crore in new orders, Rs 524 crore are attributed to the automotive sector and the rest to non-automotive business. Within the automotive segment, Rs 463 crore comes from commercial vehicles, with exports accounting for Rs 335 crore and domestic orders Rs 128 crore. The passenger vehicle segment holds an order book worth Rs 61 crore, entirely earmarked for export markets.

In the railway sector, the company has secured orders to supply fully assembled bogie frames. According to an investor presentation, this marks a milestone for Ramkrishna Forgings’ fabrication business, moving from individual frame production to complete assemblies including bolsters.

Ramkrishna Forgings Limited has expanded its footprint by acquiring a company in Mexico, now operating as Ramkrishna Forgings Mexico SA de CV. The company has leased factory space in Monterrey and started machining operations alongside storage facilities. Currently, machining is carried out on equipment provided by a North American customer, using forgings supplied by the same client. Ramkrishna Forgings has also received machining orders from another North America-based customer, with management noting strong demand and ongoing discussions for additional work in the Mexican market.

Ramkrishna Forgings specializes in manufacturing forged and CNC-machined components for sectors including automotive, railways, defense, and mining. In the automotive industry, the company produces parts such as transmissions, axles, gearboxes, pinions, spindles, bearing rings, shafts, and crown wheels. The company operates around 18 manufacturing plants across India, with a combined capacity of approximately 306,000 metric tonnes. Most of its revenue is generated from medium and heavy commercial vehicles, with Tata Motors being its largest customer.
