Oriana Power Limited has entered into a significant agreement with the Rajasthan government, pledging an investment of ₹10,000 crores to advance renewable energy projects in the state. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed at the Rising Rajasthan Global Summit 2024 in Jaipur. This investment will support initiatives in solar power, floating solar projects, Green Hydrogen, and Energy Storage Solutions (ESS).
The company has earmarked six locations in Rajasthan for these projects, including one in Bikaner, two in Churu, and three in the Phalodi district. Commenting on the agreement, Rupal Gupta, Managing Director of Oriana Power, stated, “We are thrilled to invest ₹10,000 crores in Rajasthan, a state that stands out for its proactive approach toward renewable energy. Our projects in solar, green hydrogen, and ESS will further establish Rajasthan as a leader in green energy while advancing its vision for energy self-reliance.”
The projects are expected to create substantial direct and indirect employment opportunities, delivering a significant economic uplift for the state. Oriana Power recently reported impressive financial growth, with a 461.27% surge in revenue for the six months ending September 30, 2024, compared to the same period last year. The company achieved ₹359.54 crores in revenue and announced a robust order book exceeding 500 MW, highlighting its expanding role in India’s transition to sustainable energy.
