RailTel Secures ₹78.4-Crore IT Infrastructure Order from Bharat Coking Coal

RailTel Corporation of India Ltd, a leading telecom infrastructure provider, announced on January 1 that it has been awarded a ₹78.43-crore contract by Bharat Coking Coal Ltd (BCCL). According to the regulatory filing, the order, dated December 31, 2024, involves implementing an integrated IT-based security infrastructure along with associated services. This marks another significant milestone for RailTel as it continues to expand its presence in the IT and telecom sectors.

In addition to this achievement, RailTel reported strong financial growth for the September quarter of FY25, with revenue from operations rising 40% year-on-year to ₹843.49 crore and profit after tax increasing over 6% to ₹72.64 crore. For the first half of FY25, the company posted a 31% jump in revenue to ₹1,401.6 crore and a 13% rise in profit to ₹121.31 crore. These figures underline RailTel’s robust operational performance and its ability to secure high-value contracts while driving sustained growth in the telecom and IT infrastructure space.
