Quest Global, a leading global product engineering services provider, has strengthened its collaboration with IEEE, the world’s largest technical professional organization advancing technology for humanity, to support female engineers in India. Now in its third year, the partnership continues to create meaningful impact through two key Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives: the Women in Engineering (WIE) Scholarship Program and the Returning Women Engineers Program (RWEP).

The Women in Engineering (WIE) Scholarship Program has already benefitted over 790 women students across Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Kerala, with plans to extend support to more than 200 additional students, including those from underserved communities, this year. Aimed at female students aspiring to pursue engineering after completing their 12th standard, the program provides a well-rounded development platform. This includes financial aid, technical courses through IEEE’s Blended Learning Program, industry-led learning sessions, mentorship, placement support, and professional networking opportunities.

To qualify, students must have at least 60% academic performance, with priority given to those from underserved communities. The program has already helped over 100 students secure jobs, with placement assistance ongoing for other participants.

“Quest Global is proud to partner with IEEE India in driving equal access to engineering education and career opportunities for women,” said Cheryl Rodness, Global Head of Brand at Quest Global. “We believe in the transformative power of engineering, and we are committed to enabling women to become leaders and innovators in this field.”

Srikanth Chandrasekaran, Country Head of IEEE India Operations, emphasized the importance of collaboration: “We are grateful to Quest Global for their continuous support in empowering over 1,000 individuals through our Women in Engineering initiatives across three states. We are committed to expanding this impact nationwide to foster an inclusive and diverse engineering ecosystem.”

In addition to the scholarship initiative, the Returning Women Engineers Program (RWEP) aims to help women professionals re-enter the workforce after career breaks. Funded by Quest Global, the program offers training in technical and soft skills, career preparation, interview coaching, resume building, and mentorship, ensuring that women can confidently return to their careers in engineering.

IEEE is the world’s largest technical professional organization and a public charity dedicated to advancing technology for humanity. Through its publications, conferences, technology standards, and educational activities, IEEE is a trusted authority in a wide range of fields, including aerospace systems, telecommunications, biomedical engineering, electric power, and consumer electronics.

Established in 2010, the IEEE India Operations Center focuses on technical activities, membership development, education, philanthropy, and business development. Its IEEE Blended Learning Program offers comprehensive training and skills development, while IEEE India Philanthropy supports initiatives that transform lives through technology and education.
