QUEST Flow Controls Limited has received the Special Jury Award for Import Substitution – Defence Product at the SIDM Champion Awards 2026 for manufacturing and supplying critical valves used on Indian Navy warships and submarines. The award was presented under Category 2 – Import Substitution for Mission-Critical Parts, Sub-Systems and Systems (SSI/Start-up) by the Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM). The ceremony took place in New Delhi on October 9, 2026, during SIDM’s Annual Session, which was held under the theme “Sovereign Capabilities, Contested Frontiers: Accelerating India’s Strategic Autonomy in an Era of Disruption”.

Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh presented the award in the presence of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. Chief of Defence Staff General NS Raja Subramani and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Krishna Swaminathan also attended the event. The Certificate of Merit was signed by Dr Satheesh Reddy, Chairman of the Awards Jury, and Arun T Ramchandani, President of SIDM.

The recognition was given for QUEST Flow Controls’ Series T Triple Offset Butterfly Valve, available in wafer, lug and flanged configurations. The product covers sizes from DN 80 to DN 1200 and pressure classes from Class 150 to Class 600. Designed and manufactured in India, the valve replaces imported alternatives used in mission-critical naval applications.

He said the supply of critical valves for Indian Navy warships and submarines carried significant responsibility and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat. The company plans to continue developing indigenous products for the Navy and the wider defence sector.
