Quality Power Electrical Equipments Ltd and Yash Highvoltage Ltd have entered into a binding agreement to acquire 100% ownership of Sukrut Electric Company Pvt. Ltd., a Pune-based manufacturer of transformer components. The deal involves a complete acquisition from a German multinational, as confirmed in a regulatory filing.
This collaboration marks a significant consolidation in India’s high-voltage equipment sector, bringing together Quality Power, known for its high-voltage power systems and energy quality solutions, and Yash Highvoltage, a prominent global provider of condenser-graded bushings. The move aims to strengthen Sukrut Electric’s reach and scale in both domestic and global transformer markets.
The transaction is expected to be finalized within the next two quarters, pending necessary regulatory and commercial approvals. The transformer industry is currently experiencing strong global demand, driven by grid upgrades, renewable integration, and transmission expansion initiatives. A reliable supply of critical components remains a key challenge, and this acquisition combines the strengths of three established players to address that need more effectively.
