Qualcomm India Unveils Global Edge AI Developer Hackathon Series

Qualcomm, a global leader in wireless technology and AI innovations, is launching its first-ever Global Edge AI Developer Hackathon series on June 14-15, 2025, at the Qualcomm Bengaluru campus. This initiative highlights Qualcomm’s dedication to advancing India’s developer ecosystem, positioning the country as a key hub for on-device AI innovations.

Designed to encourage collaboration, innovation, and learning, the hackathon invites engineers, students, and emerging developers to create, test, and showcase cutting-edge AI applications on next-generation platforms. It’s an excellent opportunity to showcase India’s technical talent, entrepreneurial spirit, and foster valuable networking opportunities.

Microsoft is joining as a global partner, with Sarvam AI supporting as the model partner. The event will be a 24-hour hackathon, offering expert mentorship and access to state-of-the-art hardware. Winners will receive Snapdragon-powered ASUS PCs, be featured on Qualcomm’s developer blog, and get a spotlight in a Discord livestream.

The Popularization Award will include a POCO F6 Deadpool Edition smartphone and digital promotion across Qualcomm’s platforms. With plans for more editions across India, this hackathon series reflects Qualcomm’s long-term vision to nurture the country’s edge AI talent, foster grassroots innovation, and provide a platform for Indian developers to influence global AI trends.
