Qnity Expands Industrial Valve Performance with Advanced Kalrez Sealing Solutions

Qnity Electronics has expanded its portfolio of industrial sealing technologies with the introduction of Kalrez® sealing solutions for valve applications, extending the proven performance of advanced perfluoroelastomer materials beyond semiconductor manufacturing into a wide range of industrial sectors. The new range is designed to enhance valve reliability, reduce emissions and improve operational efficiency in demanding processing environments.

Developed for use across semiconductor manufacturing, chemical processing, energy, oil and gas, and other industrial applications, the Kalrez portfolio addresses the growing need for sealing materials capable of withstanding extreme operating conditions. Industrial valves are routinely exposed to elevated temperatures, pressure fluctuations and highly aggressive chemicals, making seal performance critical to safe and reliable plant operation.

Among the latest offerings is the Kalrez KVSP valve stem packing system, engineered to minimise valve stem leakage while supporting efforts to reduce fugitive emissions in critical process applications. Designed to perform under high temperatures, repeated pressure cycling and continuous chemical exposure, the sealing system helps operators maintain equipment integrity while extending maintenance intervals.

The product range also includes Kalrez Spectrum 6375, a high-performance perfluoroelastomer compound that delivers broad chemical compatibility together with excellent thermal stability. The material is suited to applications in semiconductor fabrication, chemical processing facilities and oil and gas operations where process reliability is essential.

For applications involving prolonged exposure to hot water and steam, Kalrez 7375 provides enhanced resistance to thermal degradation, making it suitable for valve systems operating under severe temperature conditions. In upstream and downstream oil and gas environments, Kalrez OG193 has been specifically formulated to withstand rapid gas decompression, enabling reliable sealing performance in high-pressure hydrocarbon service.

Qnity noted that Kalrez materials have established a strong reputation over several decades in industries where sealing reliability directly influences production efficiency, equipment uptime and operational safety. Their long-standing use in semiconductor manufacturing, where contamination control and process consistency are paramount, demonstrates the durability and performance required for today’s increasingly demanding industrial applications.

“As industries continue to operate under more challenging conditions, sealing technologies must deliver greater durability and reliability,” said Brian Ammons, Vice President and General Manager of Kalrez Sealing Solutions at Qnity. “Our high-performance Kalrez sealing solutions help customers reduce fugitive emissions, extend seal service life and improve overall system reliability. The result is safer operations, longer maintenance intervals and greater efficiency across a broad range of critical valve applications.”

With the latest Kalrez sealing portfolio, Qnity reinforces its commitment to delivering advanced materials that enable industrial operators to improve process performance while supporting safety, environmental compliance and long-term asset reliability.
