PURE EV, an electric two-wheeler manufacturer based in Hyderabad, has announced a new partnership with BE Energy, a French climate-tech firm, to develop cutting-edge lithium-ion battery reconditioning technology. This collaboration aims to offer significant cost savings for electric vehicle owners by enabling the reconditioning process, which reduces the need for new batteries and lowers overall expenses, PURE EV stated.
The partnership will introduce BE Energy’s advanced lithium-ion battery reconditioning technology to the Indian market. This process, combined with PURE EV’s patented BatricsFaraday technology, will enhance the sustainability of electric mobility in India and support efforts to reduce carbon emissions.
The collaboration will also mark BE Energy’s entry into the Indian market. The first facility, in line with India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, is set to be established in Karmanghat IDA, Hyderabad, in the next fiscal year.
Nishanth Dongari, Founder and MD of PURE EV, shared that the partnership aligns with the company’s vision of producing durable electric vehicles. “This collaboration with BE Energy, as their first partner in India, enhances our commitment to boosting resale value confidence for stakeholders, including financial institutions and consumers,” he said.

By reconditioning end-of-life and defective batteries, this partnership aims to contribute to a reduction in the carbon footprint, benefiting the environment.
