PSAV Global, the brand partner of Honor in India, will begin local production of Honor smartphones from November 2025, a senior company official confirmed. The company is in discussions with electronic manufacturing services partners to initiate operations.

Co-founder and CEO CP Khandelwal said the company is targeting a 1% share of the Indian smartphone market in its first year of manufacturing, which is expected to generate revenues of around ₹2,500 crore between November 2025 and November 2026. He noted that production will initially follow the complete knocked down (CKD) model.

Honor, which was earlier a part of Huawei, has been expanding rapidly in global markets. According to Counterpoint Research, Honor is among the fastest-growing smartphone brands worldwide and is increasingly competing with established players.

Mr Khandelwal said the company has secured approvals from the Bureau of Indian Standards for four smartphone models after initial delays. Honor has recently launched the Honor X9c and X7c in India and is preparing to roll out the Honor V3 and Magic 7 Pro. “Once local manufacturing starts, we will bring all global launches to India in sync with international timelines,” he added.

PSAV had initially planned to commence production in 2024 but postponed the timeline due to delayed regulatory approvals and management changes at Honor headquarters. The company now expects manufacturing to support faster rollouts and strengthen Honor’s positioning in India’s competitive smartphone market.
