PRYM Aerospace, part of the PRYM Group, has received certification from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for its Arjuna drone, enabling large-scale deployment in agriculture applications across India. The approval follows DGCA’s recent recognition of the Group’s Drone School of Excellence as a certified Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO), creating India’s first integrated pathway for drone manufacturing, pilot training, and nationwide deployment through the Salam Kisan platform. Earlier this year, PRYM Group also signed a ₹300 crore MoU with the Government of Maharashtra at the World Economic Forum in Davos to accelerate drone adoption and skill development in the state.
“This certification is not just a regulatory milestone—it validates India’s ability to develop and scale world-class indigenous drone technology,” said Mr Mandhani. “Through Salam Kisan, over three lakh farmers have already benefitted from precision spraying and crop monitoring solutions. With DGCA approvals for both hardware and training, we are now positioned to expand services across the country and strengthen a sustainable agri-drone ecosystem.”
Drones such as Arjuna enable precision agriculture by improving crop monitoring, optimising fertiliser and pesticide spraying, and reducing chemical usage. They also provide valuable data on soil and water management, helping farmers adopt more efficient, eco-friendly, and data-driven farming practices.
