Propel Industries, one of India’s fastest-growing manufacturers of crushing and screening equipment, has introduced the 470 eTR, an advanced electric tractor-trailer truck, at bauma CONEXPO India 2024. The vehicle was unveiled by Shri Bhupathi Raju Srinivasa Varma, Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, underscoring the push towards sustainable mobility in the logistics and construction sectors.
The 470 eTR boasts a robust 350 kW electric motor, delivering 2600 Nm of torque, and is equipped with high-capacity lithium-ion batteries offering three configurations: 385, 480, and 550 kWh, tailored to various applications and range needs. The truck achieves a maximum range of 350 km per charge, with fast-charging capabilities enabling a full recharge in just 70 minutes for the 385 kWh battery.
Built for demanding tasks, the 55-ton GCW capacity ensures it can handle substantial loads efficiently while maintaining zero tailpipe emissions. Designed with advanced smart connectivity, the 470 eTR integrates telematics and IoT solutions, providing real-time updates on performance, battery status, and route optimization. Safety features include ABS, EBS, ESC, HSA, and traction control, enhancing operational security for drivers and fleet operators.
“Over 1,20,000 testing hours went into developing the 470 eTR’s powertrain and components,” said Senthil Kumar, Managing Director of Propel Industries. “This truck is engineered to last, with a durable chassis and high-quality materials ensuring longevity and minimal maintenance,” he added.
The 470 eTR joins Propel’s existing lineup of eco-friendly vehicles, which includes the 470 MEV and 470 HEV for mining applications. Propel’s 470 HEV mining trucks, certified under CMVR’s N3G category, underline the company’s focus on roadworthiness and safety.
