Propel Industries, one of India’s leading crushing equipment manufacturers, has achieved a major milestone with its 470 HEV Heavy Duty Electric Tipper receiving Homologation certification. This certification confirms that the vehicle meets all government safety and roadworthiness standards.
Speaking about the achievement, V Senthil Kumar, Managing Director of Propel Industries, stated, “The 470 HEV, initially designed for off-road use, receiving this certification is a groundbreaking achievement that reflects our commitment to innovative solutions for the industry’s evolving needs. Propel is at the forefront of eco-friendly transport, offering sustainable solutions for both off-road and on-road use. This certification marks a major step forward for electric mobility in India’s mining and construction sectors.”
The 470 HEV is India’s first smart electric heavy-duty tipper, available in two battery capacities—385 kWh and 256 kWh. Its advanced battery system allows for fast charging, regenerative braking, and energy-efficient performance.
With a compact turning radius and optimized wheelbase, the tipper offers excellent maneuverability for various terrains. Built to tackle demanding construction and mining tasks, the vehicle reduces environmental impact while offering features like a liquid-cooled motor, clutch-less AMT transmission, ABS, and a noise-free cabin.
The 470 HEV emphasizes operator comfort and durability with zero emissions, low noise levels, and asbestos-free brake liners. This milestone reinforces Propel Industries’ commitment to driving innovation in electric mobility, providing high-performance, sustainable solutions for India’s industrial sectors.
