American consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble (P&G) has announced the appointment of Shailesh Jejurikar as its incoming Chief Executive Officer. He will officially take charge on January 1, 2026. An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow, Mr Jejurikar’s elevation to the top role places him among a distinguished group of Indian-origin leaders heading major global corporations.
Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer, Mr Jejurikar will succeed Jon Moeller, who will transition to the role of Executive Chairman of the Board on the same day. In a statement, P&G shared that Mr Jejurikar has also been nominated for election to the company’s Board of Directors at the upcoming annual shareholders’ meeting scheduled for October 2025.
Joe Jimenez, Lead Director of P&G’s Board, remarked, “Shailesh has played a pivotal role in shaping several of our businesses globally, especially in categories like Fabric and Home Care. He brings deep operational expertise and a strong track record of delivering results across developed and emerging markets.”
Mr Jejurikar began his journey at P&G in 1989 and has held numerous leadership roles over the years across North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. He has been part of the global executive leadership team since 2014, helping lead strategy and transformation across various business units.
In addition to overseeing key product segments, Mr Jejurikar has played a significant role in enhancing the company’s capabilities in supply chain management, digital transformation, and global shared services.
