Prince Manufacturing has strengthened its contract manufacturing capabilities with the installation of a new Longxin automated tube laser cutting system at its Asheville, North Carolina, facility. The investment enhances the company’s ability to deliver precision-fabricated tubular components and welded assemblies while increasing production capacity for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customers across North America.

The newly installed system is designed to process round, square, rectangular, and profile tubes with high levels of accuracy and repeatability. Equipped with a fully automated tube feeding system, the machine can handle materials up to three inches in diameter and lengths of up to 18 feet. Its square indexing capability further improves machining precision, supporting efficient production of complex tubular components.

The expanded capability enables Prince Manufacturing to produce a broad range of fabricated products, including equipment frames, rails, brackets, guards, support structures, machine bases, racks, handles, and welded assemblies. By integrating automated tube laser cutting into its manufacturing operations, the company aims to streamline production processes while reducing manual handling and secondary fabrication steps.

According to Prince Manufacturing, the investment is intended to help customers improve production efficiency, shorten lead times, and maintain consistent product quality. Automated laser cutting allows multiple fabrication operations—including cutting, slotting, hole placement, profiling, and weld preparation—to be completed in a single process, resulting in improved dimensional accuracy and enhanced repeatability for high-volume production.

The addition of the new equipment further strengthens Prince Manufacturing’s integrated contract manufacturing platform, which combines metal fabrication, welding, machining, finishing, assembly, packaging, and logistics under one organization. Customers can benefit from a more streamlined supply chain by sourcing multiple manufacturing processes from a single supplier, reducing coordination challenges and improving production flow.

Bill Emberson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Prince Manufacturing, said the investment reflects the company’s commitment to expanding customer capabilities and supporting evolving manufacturing requirements. “This new automated tube laser significantly enhances what we can offer OEM customers from our Asheville facility. It provides greater flexibility for producing tubular components and welded assemblies while improving production speed, consistency, and downstream integration. Our objective is to help customers simplify their supply chains, improve manufacturing performance, and reduce operational risk,” Mr Emberson said.

Founded in 1965, Prince Manufacturing provides contract manufacturing services for OEMs serving industries including transportation, agriculture, industrial equipment, communications, power distribution, HVAC, heavy trucks, and powersports. Operating facilities in both the United States and Mexico, the company offers integrated manufacturing, Mexico shelter services, and hybrid production solutions. The latest investment reinforces Prince Manufacturing’s strategy of expanding advanced fabrication capabilities while supporting customers seeking reliable, high-quality manufacturing partners throughout North America.
