Premier Energies Wins ₹215 Crore Contract for Solar Water Pumps in Uttar Pradesh

Premier Energies Ltd, has secured a ₹215 crore contract from the Uttar Pradesh Department of Agriculture to supply, install, and commission 8,085 solar water pumping systems across various districts in the state. The project, part of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) Scheme, is scheduled for completion by March 2025 and includes a comprehensive five-year warranty.

The PM-KUSUM initiative aims to enhance energy security for farmers while contributing to India’s goal of increasing its reliance on renewable energy sources. This project supports the country’s broader target of generating 40% of its power from non-fossil fuel sources by 2030, aligning with India’s commitments under the Paris Agreement.
