Premier Energies, an entity working in the renewable energy realm, focuses on crafting top-tier solar photovoltaic modules. With a yearly module production capability of 4 GW alongside a cell capacity reaching 2 GW, Premier Energies is one of the substantial driving forces within the expansive domain of solar energy. In 1995, Shri Surendarpal Singh Saluja laid the foundation for Premier Energies with a vision to capture the sun’s energy through the production of solar cells and modules. Over the last 25 years, Premier Energies has evolved significantly, starting with the introduction of the inaugural solar panel assembly line with a capacity of 3 MW/year.
Presently, the company stands as a fully-integrated powerhouse with a 3.4 GW solar cell and module line. Continuously advancing, Premier Energies is currently embarking on the construction of an additional 1.6 GW solar cell and PV module manufacturing line. At the forefront of technology, their cutting-edge facility houses the industry’s premier automated mono PERC manufacturing line, achieving a cell efficiency of 22.9%. It is engineered to accommodate emerging technologies, including larger-sized cells such as M10, M12, and Multi-Busbar cells. Their fully-automated module line is adept at handling half-cut cells and bifacial modules.
NTPC, a power utility company in India, on the other hand, contributes in the nation’s energy generation efforts. known for its diversified power generation portfolio, NTPC focuses on efficient power production while consistently exploring innovative and sustainable energy solutions. The recent collaboration between Premier Energies and NTPC, involving the supply of bifacial solar modules worth about Rs 1,700 crore for NTPC’s Nokh Solar PV Project in Rajasthan, reflects the vision of both the companies in advancing solar power infrastructure in India.
Valued at approximately Rs 1,700 crore, the order entails the provision of bifacial solar modules designated for NTPC’s Nokh Solar PV Project situated in Rajasthan. According to the official press release, the completion of the supply is anticipated within a timeframe of nine months. The company in question boasts an annual module capacity of 4 GW and a cell capacity of 2 GW.
Chiranjeev Saluja, Managing Director of Premier Energies Ltd, expressed his enthusiasm at this collaboration, “Our collaboration with NTPC is a significant milestone. As a solar pioneer, our journey over the years echoes the story of precision in product quality, consistent performance, and the rock-solid reliability ingrained within our Solar PV Modules. Anchored by our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and exceeding customer expectations, we take pride in amplifying India’s leadership role in revolutionizing the global renewable energy landscape.”
