Premier Energies Limited today inaugurated its state-of-the-art 5.6 GW solar module manufacturing facility at Seetharampur in Rangareddy district, Telangana, marking a significant expansion of its renewable energy manufacturing capabilities. The facility was inaugurated by A Revanth Reddy, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana, in the presence of Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister, and Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Hon’ble Minister for Information Technology, Electronics and Communications, Industries and Commerce, and Legislative Affairs, Government of Telangana.
On the same occasion, the company performed the groundbreaking ceremony for a 6 GWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) facility and an 18,000 metric tonnes per annum aluminium frames manufacturing plant, reinforcing its strategy to expand across the clean energy value chain. Spread over 75 acres, the Seetharampur campus is Premier Energies’ newest manufacturing hub. With the commissioning of the facility, the company’s total solar module manufacturing capacity has increased to 11.1 GW, enabling it to meet rising demand in both domestic and international markets.
The new plant features advanced G12R TOPCon module manufacturing lines, India’s first Zero Bus Bar manufacturing unit, automated guided vehicle (AGV)-based material handling, and AI-powered quality inspection systems. Its highly automated production lines can manufacture one solar module every four seconds while maintaining consistent quality and production efficiency.
The upcoming BESS and aluminium frames facilities will strengthen Premier Energies’ manufacturing ecosystem by enhancing supply chain integration and supporting India’s drive towards greater self-reliance in clean energy technologies. Once fully operational, the Seetharampur campus is expected to generate more than 3,000 employment opportunities, contributing to regional economic development while promoting a more inclusive workforce. Sustainability has also been embedded into the facility’s design and operations to support responsible manufacturing practices.
Commenting on the inauguration, Surender Pal Singh Saluja, Chairman, Premier Energies, said, “The Seetharampur facility marks a defining milestone in our three-decade journey. It reflects our continued investment in advanced manufacturing, technology leadership and our commitment to supporting India’s growing renewable energy ambitions.”
Sudhir Reddy, Director, Premier Energies, added, “This integrated manufacturing campus strengthens our ability to deliver high-quality clean energy solutions while expanding into strategic segments such as battery storage and aluminium components. These investments will enhance supply chain resilience and position us to meet the evolving needs of customers in India and global markets.”
