Praj Industries is set to expand its footprint across emerging sectors such as Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), biopolymers, and energy transition and climate action (ETCA), aiming to triple its revenue to ₹10,000 crore by 2030. Speaking at a press conference, Executive Chairman Dr Pramod Chaudhari and his leadership team discussed the company’s strategic initiatives to seize upcoming opportunities.

Dr. Chaudhari highlighted the growth potential in the ETCA segment, which includes blue and green hydrogen, green ammonia, and waste-to-energy solutions. “The global energy sector is poised to see investments of nearly ₹25 lakh crore in clean energy by 2030, alongside ₹21 lakh crore in the traditional oil and gas industry over the next decade. This shift will drive a substantial demand for modularization solutions,” he explained.

To meet this demand, Praj has established a cutting-edge advanced manufacturing facility in Mangalore, Karnataka. Built with an investment of ₹400 crore and spanning 123 acres, the facility is designed to generate annual revenues of ₹2,000-2,500 crore at full capacity.

The global push for SAF, supported by the CORSIA agreement, presents a significant opportunity for Praj. India has committed to SAF blending targets of 1% by 2027 and 2% by 2028, while the EU and the USA have set more ambitious goals of 6% and 10%, respectively. Praj played a pivotal role in India’s first commercial passenger flight powered by domestically produced SAF, a collaboration with AirAsia and Indian Oil, which successfully flew from Pune to New Delhi.

Atul Mulay, President of Bioenergy Business, emphasized Praj’s growth aspirations: “With current annual revenues at ₹3,400 crore, our goal is to achieve ₹10,000 crore by 2030. This vision is driven by our innovation and execution capabilities across a diversified portfolio.”

Praj’s contributions to the global bioeconomy are underpinned by its BioMobility® platform, which supports the production of renewable transportation fuels, and its Bio-Prism® technologies for renewable chemicals and materials. These platforms align with the company’s commitment to sustainable decarbonization and circular bioeconomy principles.

The company operates in diverse areas, including bioenergy, critical process equipment, modularization, breweries, zero liquid discharge systems, and high-purity water systems. With a presence in over 100 countries and more than 1,000 customer references, Praj continues to lead with innovation, supported by its state-of-the-art R&D center, Praj Matrix. Listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE), Praj Industries remains committed to sustainability and innovation as it drives the transition to clean energy solutions.
