Power Mech Wins ₹865 Crore O&M Contract from Vedanta’s Talwandi Sabo Power

Power Mech Projects Ltd has secured an order worth ₹865 crore for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of a 3×660 MW supercritical thermal power plant owned by Talwandi Sabo Power Limited, a subsidiary of Vedanta Limited. The plant is located in Banawala village in the Mansa district of Punjab.

In its regulatory filing, Power Mech Projects Ltd stated, “We are pleased to announce that we have received an order valued at ₹865 crore for the O&M of Talwandi Sabo Power Limited’s 3×660 MW supercritical thermal power plant.” The project is scheduled to be executed over a five-year period, starting from November 1, 2024.

This major contract comes after Power Mech Projects reported a strong performance in its fiscal first quarter. The Hyderabad-based company posted a 21% rise in consolidated net profit, reaching ₹61.72 crore, up from ₹50.96 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year. The company also recorded revenue of ₹1,007.39 crore, a significant increase from ₹865.13 crore in the year-ago period.
