Polymatech Electronics Limited has launched a new printed circuit board (PCB) production plant in Estonia, marking its entry into the European manufacturing sector and a strategic shift from being solely a component supplier to offering complete product-based solutions. The newly commissioned facility, which began operations on August 8, spans 10,000 square feet and includes a cleanroom environment equipped with advanced manufacturing systems.

It is capable of producing up to 50,000 square metres of multi-layer high-density interconnect (HDI) PCBs annually. The plant is designed to support a range of high-reliability applications, supplying sectors such as mobile communications, defence, aerospace, automotive electronics, semiconductor production, telecommunications infrastructure, industrial systems, and security equipment.

According to CEO Eswara Rao Nandam, the new site represents a commitment to precision and technical quality. “These PCBs, produced in Europe to meet stringent standards, are built to meet the requirements of critical applications,” he said.

Tarja Rapala, Director and Head of the PCB division, highlighted the company’s goal to offer rapid and sustainable solutions backed by experienced personnel and closely managed production lines. She said the facility is positioned to strengthen partnerships across Europe by delivering dependable and customised products.

Chief Innovation Officer Allen Nejah noted that the plant’s capabilities extend to producing high-speed and high-frequency PCBs, along with advanced HDI and multi-layered designs of up to 48 layers. These are suited for complex electronics in defence and technology sectors.

Urmas Aruoja, head of the Estonia operations, said that the company can deliver PCBs with a turnaround time as fast as 24 hours. The product lineup includes substrate-like PCBs, rigid-flex variants, IC substrates, RF PCBs, and high-density modules. The HDI PCBs are manufactured using laser microvia technology, sequential lamination, ultra-fine traces, and advanced materials, supporting increased functionality within compact designs.
