During Mumbai’s vibrant Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, Polycab India has taken steps to support communities through on-ground installations designed for comfort, safety, and accessibility. The brand has set up key initiatives at two major festive locations — Lalbaugcha Raja and Juhu Beach — reinforcing its commitment to being a people-focused, community-driven brand.
At Lalbaugcha Raja, Polycab has introduced thoughtful installations aimed at improving the experience for both devotees and frontline workers. One of the key additions is a Comfort Zone at a local bus stop, offering a shaded resting area where visitors can take a break and recharge their mobile phones—providing much-needed relief from the heat and rain during long waits in the darshan queue. To further support connectivity, mobile charging stations have been set up within the pandal premises, helping devotees and volunteers stay connected throughout the celebration.
In support of the authorities working tirelessly during the festivities, Polycab has created a dedicated rest zone for police personnel, giving them a space to recuperate while ensuring public safety. Additionally, an Experiential Walkway, fitted with Polycab fans, has been installed along the darshan route, offering a cool and comfortable passage for visitors. These initiatives reflect Polycab’s commitment to community care, comfort, and cultural connection during Mumbai’s most iconic celebration. At Juhu Beach, one of the city’s main immersion sites, Polycab has set up Safety Watch Towers, helping authorities with crowd monitoring and ensuring a safer immersion process.
Shwetal Basu, Senior Vice President, Brand & Marcom at Polycab India Ltd, said, “Ganesh Chaturthi is a time of togetherness and devotion. Through these efforts, we aim to serve communities with thoughtful support — going beyond products to create real connections.”
The brand’s outreach is not limited to Mumbai. In Pune, Polycab is enhancing visibility through branded gates and banners at major pandals. In Hyderabad, at the iconic Khairatabad Ganesh Pandal, the brand is installing a digital LED arch and a branded police booth equipped with water and phone-charging points for devotees and frontline staff.
These initiatives are part of Polycab’s larger approach to festive engagement across India. The company has previously participated in events like the Rath Yatra in Puri and continues to adapt to regional traditions by creating helpful, experience-enhancing spaces that serve local needs.
