Polyhose Sato-Shoji Metal Works Private Limited, the Indo–Japanese joint venture between the Indian multinational Polyhose Group and the Japanese steel giant Sato Shoji Co, Ltd, has appointed industry veteran PL Muthusekkar as its Chief Executive Officer. The joint venture combines Polyhose’s 35-year global manufacturing expertise with Sato Shoji’s legacy of nearly a century in steel and trading businesses. Under Muthusekkar’s leadership, the company will shift its focus to engineering, construction equipment, and contract manufacturing divisions, aiming to serve both domestic and international markets.
PL Muthusekkar is a seasoned business leader and certified independent corporate director, with a proven track record in turning around organisations and achieving consistent growth. An alumnus of Bengaluru University with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a postgraduate qualification in Marketing and Sales Management, he brings extensive expertise in strategic planning, international sales, supply chain management, and business development.
He is also a well-recognised speaker on international platforms, a mentor to aspiring CEOs, and a recipient of several honours, including the Udyog Rattan Award. His career has spanned global business engagements, legal victories for organisations, and the successful transformation of workplace culture to drive results.
