Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCoE), located in Nigdi, Pune, is gearing up to host the second edition of its annual innovation event, “PCCOE KSHITIJ”, on Saturday, May 13, 2023. The event aims to showcase the talents of PCCoE’s students and will feature more than 40 patented projects developed by over 150 students in BTech and MTech engineering programs.
KSHITIJ 2023 is to foster innovation to deliver practical solutions to real-world problems while promoting intellectual property rights through patents and copyrights, focusing on the ‘Develop in India’ and ‘Make in India’ initiatives. KSHITIJ 2023 will witness 40 patentable projects supported by over 50 project guides who will guide on selecting, identifying, planning, implementing, monitoring, evaluating, and launching the projects.
PCCoE is a promising autonomous engineering institute located in the heart of one of the country’s densest industrial areas of Pimpri Chinchwad. The institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in civil, computer, mechanical, electronics and telecommunication engineering, information technology, and master of computer applications. PCCoE is also a recognized research centre affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), leading to a PhD degree.
The first edition of PCCoE KSHITIJ was organized on April 28, 2022, and received an overwhelming response, prompting the management to organize the second edition in 2023. The KSHITIJ 2023 event will gather hundreds of thoughtful delegates from across the industry, including established companies, emerging startups, entrepreneurs, and other innovators. The event promises to showcase the potential of India’s innovation ecosystems and contribute to the country’s self-sufficiency and development goals.
Dr Govind Kulkarni, Director of Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering, said, “KSHITIJ 2023 focuses exclusively on one of our time’s most pressing development challenges: how do we become self-sufficient and build India’s innovation ecosystems? We are dreaming big, which will add value to the existing educational system’s outcomes and become an integral industry component. We are fostering innovation to deliver the best answers to real-life problems while guaranteeing intellectual property rights through patents and copyrights, with a focus on the Make in India initiative and import substitution.”
PCCoE’s Special Interest Groups (SIG) are organizing the KSHITIJ 2023, the first significant event in Pune among all engineering institutes to join the mainstream industrial growth. Industries are expected to visit, engage and collaborate with these talents and projects to strengthen Indian manufacturing. As an attendee of KSHITIJ 2023, you can expect to actively engage in the event, review the projects, join an initiative if the project ideas appeal to you, and pose real-life problems to get creative solutions from the talented students and project guides at PCCoE.
