Philip Harting, CEO of HARTING Technology Group, celebrates his 50th birthday today, marking a significant milestone in his leadership of the family-owned company. Since becoming CEO in 2015, Harting has guided the company through a transformative period, emphasizing digitalization, sustainability, and innovative connectivity solutions.

Under Philip Harting’s leadership, HARTING Technology Group achieved a turnover exceeding one billion euros in the last financial year. His tenure continues the legacy of his father, Dietmar Harting, and maintains the company’s commitment to social responsibility through involvement in various industry committees, including ZVEI, AUMA, Deutsche Messe, and VDE.

Reflecting on his birthday, Harting remarked, “Birthdays are like connectors – they connect the past and the future. We look back with gratitude and are eager to tackle future challenges.” He sees significant opportunities in the ongoing digitalization, electrification, and decarbonization of society and industry, asserting that HARTING’s products bridge the gap between electricity and data in the modern world.

Despite the company’s success, Harting expressed concern over the challenging economic conditions in Germany and Europe. He criticized excessive bureaucracy and a lack of investment incentives, calling for a shift in economic policy to support German industry.

HARTING Technology Group, with around 6,200 employees across 43 sales companies, 14 production facilities, and six development sites, is a key player in industrial connection technology. The company’s solutions span various sectors, including transportation, electromobility, renewable energy, automation, and mechanical engineering, reflecting its role in connecting the world.
