Panasonic Industry Unveils Energy-Efficient AR-T Series BLDC Motors & Vacua Series Vacuum Insulation Panels for HVAC Sector

Panasonic Industry

Panasonic Industry, a division of Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLSIND), has introduced its latest energy-efficient solutions for the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) industry at ACREX India 2025. The newly launched AR-T Series BLDC Motors and Vacua Series Vacuum Insulation Panels (VIP) are designed to enhance performance, energy efficiency, and sustainability in HVAC applications.

The AR-T Series BLDC Motors feature an innovative design that ensures high reliability while minimizing noise and vibration, making them ideal for air-cooled chillers. Meanwhile, the Vacua Series VIP panels offer superior thermal insulation, boasting 20 times better heat resistance than polyurethane foam, contributing to energy conservation and environmental protection.

Speaking at the launch, Narayan Kumar, Divisional Director, Panasonic Industry, PLSIND, highlighted the rapid growth of the HVAC industry, driven by a 15.8% CAGR, increasing infrastructure development, and green building initiatives.

“The industry’s demand for reliable, high-performance, and environmentally friendly solutions is at an all-time high. Panasonic Industry remains committed to delivering next-generation, tech-enabled components that align with these evolving needs. The Vacua Series VIP panels, with their slim design (5-8mm thickness), optimize storage volume while enhancing insulation. Similarly, the AR-T Series BLDC motors offer high energy efficiency with low noise and vibration, ensuring a superior user experience. These innovations support the growing HVAC sector while reinforcing our commitment to sustainability, efficiency, and technological excellence in India’s expanding infrastructure landscape.”

The AR-T Series Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) Motors represent a significant leap in motor technology, integrating aluminum winding and rare earth magnets for superior efficiency and performance. With a maximum output of 3,000 kW and an industry-leading efficiency rate of 91%, these motors deliver exceptional energy savings. Additionally, their design ensures reduced noise and vibration, making them ideal for air-cooled chillers and other HVAC applications where reliability and quiet operation are essential.

Panasonic’s Vacua Series Vacuum Insulation Panels (VIP) are the result of extensive research and development, providing outstanding thermal insulation without the use of Freon or harmful blowing agents. These panels feature an ultra-low thermal conductivity with a best-in-class k-factor of 0.0013W/mK. Their high-performance glass fiber core, encased in an aluminum outer layer, maintains an internal vacuum at 1/10,000 atmospheric pressure, setting new benchmarks in insulation efficiency. Advanced wave-shaped edge sealing technology prevents gas infiltration, ensuring long-term performance stability, while air absorbent technology helps maintain initial thermal conductivity over time. With over 200 patents in VIP technology, Panasonic continues to lead in vacuum insulation innovation.

In addition to the BLDC motors and VIP panels, Panasonic Industry showcased a range of high-performance components designed to enhance efficiency and reliability across various applications. Its HVAC compressors, including both Scroll and Rotary variants, cater to stationary and electric bus air conditioning systems, where Panasonic holds a significant market share. The company also introduced high-quality relays and switches, engineered for long-term durability in industrial and consumer electronics. The ZNR (Zinc Oxide Varistor) Series was highlighted as an essential solution for overvoltage protection, improving device longevity in power-sensitive applications.

Further strengthening its portfolio, Panasonic presented advanced film and hybrid capacitors, known for their high reliability and energy efficiency in power electronics and automotive applications. The company also displayed cutting-edge sensor technology, including the PM 2.5 Sensor for accurate air quality monitoring in smart HVAC systems and the Grid Eye Sensors, which provide precise thermal detection for automation and security applications. With these innovations, Panasonic Industry reaffirms its commitment to advancing sustainable, high-performance electronic solutions for the HVAC and industrial sectors.

Founded in 1918, Panasonic has been at the forefront of technological advancements across diverse industries, including consumer electronics, housing, automotive, and energy solutions. With the transition to an operating company system in 2022, Panasonic Holdings Corporation continues to drive global innovation and sustainable development.

For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024, the Panasonic Group reported consolidated net sales of ¥8,496.4 billion, further strengthening its position as a global leader in energy-efficient and high-performance solutions. Through these innovative HVAC components, Panasonic Industry reinforces its commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency, and superior technology, addressing the evolving needs of India’s growing infrastructure and industrial landscape.
