In a momentous celebration of the entrepreneurial spirit and remarkable achievements in the field of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Shri. P. Ramdas, the Managing Director of Ace Manufacturing Systems Ltd., was felicitated with the prestigious FKCCI MSME Achievers Award. The ceremony took place on June 30, 2023, coinciding with the global observance of World MSME Day.
The honor conferred upon Mr. Ramdas by the FKCCI is a clear acknowledgement of his passion and outstanding contributions to the MSME industry. With a distinguished career founded on extensive experience and profound knowledge, Ramdas has effectively led Ace Manufacturing Systems to achieve unparalleled excellence. Born in Puttige, Moodbidri, Mr. Ramdas pursued his graduation in Mechanical Engineering from the renowned National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK-Suratkal). Further advancing his knowledge, he obtained an MTech degree in Machine Tools from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras).
Ramdas embarked on his professional journey as a Design Engineer at HMT, where he played a pivotal role in the development of indigenous NC and CNC lathes. Over the course of his 13-year tenure at HMT and a brief period at MMC-Kolkata, he honed his skills and expertise in the field. In 1984, he joined WIDIA (India) Ltd. (Kennametal) as a Project Manager, where he spearheaded the establishment of the Special Purpose Machines (SPM) division. During his seven years at WIDIA, Ramdas successfully developed various cutting-edge machine tools, including Turning Centers, Machining Centers, Deep Hole Drilling Machines, and Grinding Machines.
In 1991, Mr. Ramdas assumed the role of Vice President – Engineering at Mysore Kirloskar Ltd, Harihar. Three years later, he co-founded Ace Manufacturing Systems Ltd. along with other visionaries. Since its inception, Ramdas has served as the Managing Director of the company, driving its growth and expansion to new horizons.
The FKCCI MSME Achievers Award adds to Mr. Ramdas’s long list of accolades, which includes the prestigious “Kaigarika Ratna” award from the Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) in 2015-16, the MTMA-Premier Outstanding Entrepreneur Award in 2016, and the esteemed “Karnataka Rajyotsava Award” in 2018. The FKCCI MSME Achievers Award not only acknowledges P. Ramdas’s extraordinary accomplishments but also serves as an inspiration to aspiring entrepreneurs and industry leaders, emphasizing the vital role played by MSMEs in fostering economic growth, innovation, and employment generation.
