The upcoming business summit in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, will host over 7,500 delegates, including participants from 20 international nations, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced. The event, titled “Utkarsh Odisha – Make In Odisha Conclave 2025,” will take place from January 28-29.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the summit on January 28 at Janata Maidan, the venue for the conclave. The state government is fully prepared to host what is expected to be the largest business summit of its kind, with Majhi emphasizing the significant impact it will have on the state’s economy. He described the conclave as a historic opportunity to strengthen the economy and generate employment, particularly benefiting farmers and laborers.
More than 100 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) are expected to be signed during the two-day event, which could create up to 3.5 lakh jobs. Around 100 foreign delegates from countries such as Singapore, Australia, and Malaysia will also attend the conclave.
The summit will feature various interactive sessions, designed to elevate Odisha’s global standing in the industrial sector. Sessions will focus on themes like startups, skill development in Odisha, and women entrepreneurship, as well as roundtable discussions with key stakeholders.
Additionally, the “Make in Odisha Expo” will showcase innovations, products, and services from around 150 exhibitors. This exhibition will be open to the public on January 30. Cultural performances, including a performance by renowned Odissi dancer Padma Shri Aruna Mohanty and drone shows, will be organized by the state’s culture department to highlight Odisha’s rich heritage.
