Oswal Pumps Limited has secured a Letter of Award (LoA) from North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (NBPDCL) for the design, supply and installation of 20 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar capacity across 18,089 consumer sites in Darbhanga Circle, Bihar, under the PM Surya Ghar – Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSG-MBY).
The latest order strengthens Oswal Pumps’ presence in Bihar and adds to the company’s earlier project wins under the government’s rooftop solar programme. The company will install solar systems of 1.1 kW capacity at each of the identified consumer locations.
The installation order is valued at approximately ₹78 crore. Under the RESCO model, the project is expected to generate estimated long-term revenue of around ₹67 crore from energy supply over a 10-year period, taking the overall revenue opportunity from the order to approximately ₹145 crore.
Each beneficiary household is expected to receive around 15,000 units of solar power over the contract period. The project is aimed at expanding access to distributed solar power while supporting the government’s objective of increasing household-level renewable energy adoption.

Mr Gupta added that Oswal Pumps will begin project execution and work towards meeting the requirements of the order while contributing to India’s transition towards cleaner energy. The project adds to Oswal Pumps’ growing portfolio in rooftop and solar-based energy solutions.
