The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), which met for the 104th time under the chairmanship of Odisha Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra (IAS), approved nine industrial projects worth INR 1411.58 crore in seven different sectors, resulting in the employment of over 2,846 people in the state.
In a big boost to Make in Odisha, the Government of Odisha's State Level Single Window Clearance Authority, led by the Chief Secretary, has approved seven investment proposals that will create jobs for over 2,846 people in the state.
Biomass Plants by Bio WMS Private Limited, with a total capacity of 19,000 MT Bio-CBG and 29,000 MT Liquid CO2, will be built in Angul, Bargarh, Jaipur, Jharsuguda, and Sambalpur for an investment of INR 319.25 crores and will employ over 1,250 people got the approval along with TPS Breweries and Distilleries Private Limited, which will build a 200 KLPD Ethanol manufacturing unit and a 6 MW Co-generation Power Plant (CPP) in Junagarh, Kalahandi, at a cost of INR 235 crores, creating over 200 jobs.
MGM Biofuels Pvt Ltd plans to build a 200 KLPD ethanol plant in Boudh, along with a 5 MW cogeneration plant, which will employ over 120 people in the food processing industry for an investment of INR 225.24 crores. IFFCO plans to build a new Nano Urea unit with an annual capacity of 33,000 KL and a bottling unit with a daily capacity of 2,00,000 bottles (500 ml) at Paradeep, Jagatsinghpur, which will employ over 200 people and cost INR 225 crores.
TATA Steel Special Economic Zone Limited built a seawater desalination plant with a capacity of 5,475 million litres per annum (MLPA) at Gopalpur SEZ in Ganjam for an investment of INR 107 crores, employing over 29 people. Sahyadri Industries Limited has set up a manufacturing unit in Balasore to produce chrysotile white fibre cement corrugated sheets with a capacity of 1,20,000 MTPA and a total investment of INR 100 crores, creating over 200 jobs in the manufacturing sector.
Seascope Infrastructures and Hospitality Pvt Ltd built a hotel-cum-resort near Konark in the Puri district with a total investment of INR 100 crores. Over 173 jobs are expected to be created as a result of this project. Odisha concrete (OPC) Pvt Ltd is establishing a smart city advanced drainage and sewage system products manufacturing plant in Barang, Cuttack, with a potential employment of 106 people, at a cost of INR 54.42 crores. Expansion of the New Modern Technomech Pvt Ltd project in Baripada, Mayurbhanj, by constructing a 70,000 MT Hot Dip Galvanized Steel Structure for an investment of INR 55 crores and providing employment to over 568 people.
