Bengaluru-based electric bike manufacturer Oben Electric is set to introduce four new electric two-wheeler models over the next six months, aiming to capture a larger share of the growing electric motorcycle market. These new models will be offered at varying price points, from ₹60,000 to ₹1.5 lakh, to appeal to a wide range of customers.

The company’s strategic move targets the untapped 70% of the electric motorcycle market, offering affordable and high-performance electric vehicles (EVs) that cater to diverse consumer needs. “Oben Electric is entering its next phase of growth, with plans to launch four new models in the coming months,” the company stated on Monday.

Madhumita Agrawal, Founder and CEO of Oben Electric, said, “We are committed to facilitating the transition from internal combustion engines (ICE) to electric vehicles by providing sustainable, cost-effective, and locally manufactured solutions. Our new models represent a significant step toward making electric mobility accessible to all.”

Oben currently sells one electric motorcycle, the Rorr, priced at ₹1.6 lakh (on-road). The upcoming models will feature advanced LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery technology, designed for durability and extended lifespan. Oben Electric promises that these new models will match the reliability and performance of ICE vehicles, with additional benefits to enhance the riding experience.

The company is also planning a nationwide expansion, with over 60 new showrooms in 12 major cities by the end of the year. This growth will improve access to after-sales support and service centers, ensuring a smooth ownership experience for Oben’s increasing customer base.
