Nuvoco Vistas Corp  Ltd is marking a decade of growth and expansion under the theme “Dus Saal Bemisaal”, highlighting its development from a single cement manufacturing operation into a diversified building materials company. Nuvoco’s journey began in 2014, when its parent, the Nirma Group, started operations at a greenfield cement plant in Nimbol, Rajasthan, with a capacity of 2 million tonnes per annum (MMTPA). The business expanded significantly in October 2016 with the completion of the acquisition of Lafarge India, which increased its manufacturing scale and strengthened its position in the Indian cement market.

In 2020, the company acquired Emami Cement, now known as NU Vista Limited. The acquisition expanded its presence in the building materials sector despite the uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Nuvoco became a publicly listed company in 2021, opening a new phase in its corporate development.

The company continued its expansion in April 2025 with the addition of Vadraj Cement to its portfolio, strengthening its presence in western India. It has also announced plans to expand in eastern India through a new grinding mill at the Arasmeta Cement Plant and a series of debottlenecking projects involving equipment upgrades and process improvements.

Nuvoco currently has 27 MMTPA of operating cement capacity and 14 manufacturing units, including facilities at Kutch and Sachana in Gujarat that are at an advanced stage of completion. It also operates 58 ready-mix concrete plants across India. The company aims to increase its cement capacity to 35 MMTPA by FY 2027–28, representing approximately 15 times growth over the past decade.

Its business operates across three segments: cement, ready-mix concrete (RMX) and modern building materials (MBM). The cement portfolio includes Concreto, Duraguard, Double Bull, PSC, Nirmax and Infracem. Its RMX products include performance concrete, decorative concrete, ready-to-use bagged concrete and specialised green concrete. Under its Zero M brand, the MBM business offers construction chemicals, tile adhesives, wall putty and cover blocks.

Hiren Patel, Chairman of Nuvoco Vistas Corp. Ltd., said the company’s growth had been shaped by long-term investment, business expansion and the contribution of its employees. He said the next decade would focus on innovation, sustainability, operational performance and building a workplace where employees could develop their careers.

Nuvoco also operates the Construction Development and Innovation Centre in Mumbai, an NABL-accredited facility that supports product development and responds to changing customer requirements. The company reported total income of ₹11,362 crore in FY 2025–26. As it enters its next decade, Nuvoco plans to build on its manufacturing network, expand capacity and strengthen its position across cement and other building materials markets in India.
