Nupur Recyclers Limited (NSE: NRL), a prominent entity in the trading and processing of non-ferrous metal scraps, has announced its foray into aluminium extrusion manufacturing through its subsidiary, Nupur Extrusion.
The company plans to invest approximately INR 180 million to establish a facility aimed at addressing the increasing demand for recycled materials in the solar energy and construction industries. Nupur Extrusion, founded in May 2023 and 60% owned by NRL, will concentrate on producing aluminium extrusions from recycled aluminium scrap.
The company has acquired about two acres of land in Sampla, Bahadurgarh, Haryana, where a new manufacturing plant is currently under construction. NRL has also placed orders for two extrusion press machines from international suppliers, targeting a production capacity of 5,000-6,000 tons by the fiscal year 2025-26.
This expansion positions NRL to tap into the rapidly growing aluminium extrusion market, which is essential for solar energy applications, particularly in solar panel components, as well as for construction purposes like shuttering and scaffolding.
Rajesh Gupta, Managing Director of Nupur Recyclers Limited, remarked, “Entering the aluminium extrusion manufacturing sector allows us to diversify into a burgeoning market while staying committed to sustainability. The demand for recycled materials in solar energy and construction is on the rise, and we are strategically poised to fulfill this need.” He further noted, “This investment will enhance our market presence and contribute to sustainable industrial growth.”
