Nupur Recycler Ltd. (NSE: NRL), a prominent player in the recycling and waste management industry, has made a second round of investment, injecting over INR 13 crore into its subsidiary, Frank Metals. Earlier, in March 2024, NRL had invested INR 27.97 crore for 44,40,000 shares, securing an 80% stake in Frank Metals. This latest investment is aimed at supporting Frank Metals’ capital expenditure (Capex) and operational expenditure (Opex) needs as it looks towards future growth and expansion.

The additional funds will help Frank Metals increase its production capacity from the current 1,500-2,000 tons per year to 5,000-6,000 tons per year, allowing the company to better meet the rising market demand. The expansion will significantly boost their operational capabilities and enhance their market position.

NRL is also expanding its product portfolio, which now includes Zamak-3, Zamak-5, Zamak-8, Zinc Secondary Alloy Ingots, aluminium alloy ingots ADC-12, and Brass Ingots. This diversification is set to strengthen the company’s foothold in the metal recycling industry by catering to a broader range of customers and sectors.

“We are thrilled to increase our investment in Frank Metals, a company that exemplifies innovation and quality,” said Rajesh Gupta, Managing Director of Nupur Recyclers. “This strategic investment strengthens our partnership and aligns with our vision of leading the industry in sustainable practices, providing unmatched value to our customers and stakeholders.”

Frank Metals, which specializes in non-ferrous metal scrap processing, including zinc and aluminium products, began commercial production in July 2023. The company quickly achieved a production capacity of approximately 1,400 tons and generated revenue of around INR 42 crore in its first year, showcasing its rapid growth in the competitive market.

Nupur Recycler Ltd. continues to be a leader in the recycling of non-ferrous metals, importing and processing scrap to create a healthier planet. With a focus on expanding into new markets such as the UAE, Central Europe, and the USA, NRL is positioning itself as a forward-thinking company in the metal recycling industry.
