NTT DATA, a global provider of digital business and technology services, has announced a strategic alliance with Google Cloud aimed at accelerating the use of AI-driven cloud solutions for enterprises across industries. This partnership combines NTT DATA’s industry know-how in AI, data engineering and cloud modernization with Google Cloud’s cutting-edge AI and analytics technologies to deliver scalable, tailored solutions for businesses.

The collaboration emphasizes co-innovation to create industry-specific AI and cloud offerings. Leveraging proven frameworks from NTT DATA and Google Cloud’s capabilities, the initiative will support faster adoption of modern digital infrastructure. Both companies are also committing significant joint go-to-market investments to expand adoption in key global markets.

According to Gartner, enterprise spending on public cloud services is projected to reach $723 billion in 2025, up from $595.7 billion in 2024. This growth highlights the importance of advanced AI-enabled cloud infrastructure, which lies at the core of the new partnership.

Marv Mouchawar, Head of Global Innovation at NTT DATA, noted, “This partnership marks a pivotal step in advancing digital transformation across industries. By combining our deep expertise with Google Cloud’s technologies, we will help enterprises accelerate AI-powered cloud adoption and unlock new opportunities for growth.”

Kevin Ichhpurani, President, Global Partner Ecosystem at Google Cloud, added, “Together, we will help businesses deploy intelligent agents to modernize operations, enhance decision-making and create measurable value for their organizations.”

A new collaboration has been announced with a focus on delivering industry-specific AI solutions across sectors such as financial services, healthcare, retail, and manufacturing. By leveraging Google Gemini models, Google Agentspace, and secure data platforms, the partnership aims to create tailored offerings that address the unique needs of each industry while enhancing efficiency and customer engagement.

In addition to AI-led innovation, the companies will work together on enterprise-scale cloud modernization. This will be enabled by Google Distributed Cloud and strengthened by NTT DATA’s global infrastructure, helping enterprises transition their core systems and applications to modern, agile cloud environments.

The collaboration also places emphasis on application modernization and cybersecurity. Key initiatives include transforming legacy mainframe environments, improving API management, enabling SAP workloads on Google Cloud, and reinforcing cybersecurity measures to ensure organizations can operate securely in increasingly digital ecosystems.

For highly regulated industries such as government, finance, and healthcare, the partnership will deliver sovereign cloud solutions. These offerings are designed to maintain strict compliance and data sovereignty requirements while still allowing organizations to benefit from cloud-driven innovation and scalability.

Another core focus is developer enablement. A sandbox environment on Google Distributed Cloud will be made available, offering preconfigured templates, hands-on training, and tools that allow developers to build, test, and deploy applications faster, ultimately reducing time-to-market.

Through these combined initiatives, the collaboration seeks to accelerate digital transformation for enterprises worldwide, empowering them to operate more securely, innovate at scale, and meet the evolving demands of their industries. NTT DATA will deliver these initiatives through end-to-end services, from advisory and design to implementation and ongoing management. Central to its strategy is Takumi, NTT DATA’s GenAI framework that integrates with Google Cloud’s AI stack to speed up prototyping and enterprise-scale deployment of AI use cases.

The alliance also strengthens NTT DATA’s Smart AI Agent Ecosystem, a platform combining partnerships, specialized tools and skilled talent to help clients deploy responsible, business-driven AI at scale. To support this, NTT DATA has created a dedicated Google Cloud Business Group, comprising thousands of engineers, consultants and architects working in close alignment with Google Cloud teams. The company also plans to certify 5,000 engineers in Google Cloud technologies to expand delivery capacity worldwide.

Building on the momentum of their 2024 co-innovation agreement in Asia-Pacific, this global partnership also reflects NTT DATA’s commitment to Google Cloud excellence following its acquisition of Niveus Solutions, recognized with three Google Cloud Partner Awards in 2025.

José Luis González Santana, Head of IT Infrastructure at Carrefour, highlighted the benefits of this collaboration: “By running SAP HANA on Google Cloud, we consolidated 100 legacy applications into a modern e-commerce platform across 200 hypermarkets. With support from NTT DATA and Google Cloud, we’ve gained the agility to scale during peak seasons and launch new services faster, improving experiences for our customers.”
