NTPC announced on Tuesday that it has commenced commercial operations for a 32.90 MW solar plant in Rajasthan. The Shambu ki Burj -2 (Kolayat) Solar PV Project, located in Bikaner, is managed by NTPC Green Energy Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC.
According to an exchange filing, “The third part capacity of 32.90 MW out of the total 300 MW Shambu ki Burj-2 (Kolayat) Solar PV Project is officially operational as of 00:00 hours on October 31, 2024.” With this addition, the NTPC group’s total installed and operational capacity now stands at 76,475.68 MW.
Earlier in September, the first part capacity of 150 MW and the second part capacity of 98.78 MW were also declared commercially operational. NTPC Limited, formerly known as National Thermal Power Corporation, is India’s largest energy conglomerate, primarily focused on power generation and related activities.
