NTPC Green Energy Limited to Invest ₹30,000 Crore in Transmission Infrastructure for Andhra Pradesh Green Hydrogen Hub

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has announced its ambitious plans to invest ₹30,000 crore in developing a robust transmission network to support the proposed Green Hydrogen Hub in Andhra Pradesh. This initiative reinforces NTPC’s commitment to driving India’s energy transition and establishing the country as a global leader in green hydrogen production.

The proposed transmission infrastructure will connect renewable energy generation facilities in the state to the Green Hydrogen Hub, ensuring seamless power supply for hydrogen production, storage, and export. This project is set to strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s position as a sustainable energy hub and bolster India’s green energy ambitions.

This investment is part of NTPC’s broader strategy to achieve 60 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2032 and contribute to India’s net-zero goals.
