Suzlon has expanded its collaboration with NTPC Green Energy (NGEL), bringing the total capacity under partnership to 1,544 MW. The latest addition is a 378 MW wind power project, reinforcing Suzlon’s prominent position in India’s renewable energy sector.
Under the terms of the agreement, Suzlon will deliver 120 S144 wind turbines equipped with Hybrid Lattice Towers, each with a capacity of 3.15 MW. The company will also handle the foundation work, installation, commissioning, and long-term maintenance of the wind farm.
Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman of Suzlon Group, commented on the development, emphasizing the importance of this collaboration in advancing India’s renewable targets. “Partnering with NTPC is a step forward in scaling up sustainable power. As NGEL works towards achieving a 60 GW renewable portfolio by 2032, this project reflects the crucial contribution of wind energy in reaching that goal,” he said.
