NTPC announced that its subsidiary NTPC Green Energy (NGEL) has successfully completed the 300 MW Shambuki Burj-2 Solar PV Project, with the final 18.32 MW capacity now operational. With this milestone, the total installed and commercial capacity of the NTPC group has reached 77,411.50 MW, as per a regulatory filing.
The final 18.32 MW capacity of the 300 MW Shambuki Burj-2 (Kolayat) Solar PV Project, located in Bikaner, Rajasthan, became commercially operational at midnight on March 1, 2025. Earlier, the project saw the commercial activation of its first phase (150 MW) on September 29, 2022, the second phase (98.78 MW) on September 30, 2024, and the third phase (32.90 MW) on October 31, 2024.
