Norton Motorcycles, owned by TVS Motor Company, announced its plans for global growth at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Leaders Sudarshan Venu, Dr. Robert Hentschel, and Richard Arnold shared the brand’s vision for international expansion.
Sudarshan Venu, Managing Director of TVS Motor Company, said, “We are excited about our vision and investment in the Norton brand and look forward to sharing it with motorcyclists worldwide.” With TVS Motor’s support, Norton is set to become a global brand. TVS has committed £200 million to new product development, facilities, research, and engineering.
Six new models are planned over the next three years, with a focus on expanding into the USA, Germany, France, Italy, and India. The leadership team includes Richard Arnold, former CEO of Manchester United Football Club, and Dr. Robert Hentschel, CEO of Norton Motorcycles. This team aims to leverage the investment for growth.
Norton’s new state-of-the-art facility in Solihull, UK, is driving its product development. The One of One V4SV, inspired by Steve Hislop’s ‘White Charger,’ was showcased at the festival. Dr. Robert Hentschel said, “Our investment in research and development is positioning us to launch six exciting new products globally, focusing on design, drivability, and detail.”
This year, Norton completed fulfilling orders for customers of the previous Norton Motorcycles UK Ltd, allowing the company to fully focus on the future. Richard Arnold emphasized Norton’s commitment to its heritage and customers, stating, “We are excited to bring our new bikes to riders around the world and expand our reach to new markets.”
