NORD DRIVESYSTEMS has opened a new factory in McKinney, Texas. This is NORD’s fourth US location, following sites in Wisconsin, North Carolina, and California. The McKinney factory will provide pre-sales, warehouse, assembly, and aftermarket services for the Southern USA.
The factory is located northeast of Dallas, covering 7,900 square meters. It began operations in June 2023, initially manufacturing unpainted gear units. The factory now has ten assembly cells and a painting system for various surface treatments. It can produce up to 200 units per shift.
At the opening event, NORD Managing Directors Ullrich Küchenmeister and Gernot Zarp, along with local officials and industry representatives, celebrated the new facility. Congressman Keith Self was also in attendance. “With the new factory, we can keep our promise of short delivery times,” said Torsten Schultz, president of NORD USA. “The city welcomed us warmly, and we look forward to building a close relationship with the community.”
NORD DRIVESYSTEMS has a global presence in over 80 countries, ensuring short delivery times and local support. The Texas factory is strategically located in a booming region with a strong economy, making it an ideal spot for serving customers in logistics, food, electronics, and mechanical engineering.
