NORD Demonstrates Innovative Drive Solutions for Automation at SPS Trade Fair

NORD Drivesystems, a leading drive specialist, reported a successful participation at the SPS trade fair in Nuremberg, focusing on efficient drive solutions for the automation industry. The SPS – smart production solutions 2023 trade fair witnessed a notable increase in visitor numbers compared to the previous year, culminating in a positive outcome for NORD. NORD DRIVESYSTEMS, operating with approximately 4,700 employees currently, has been a key player in the drive technology sector since 1965. As a prominent global full-service provider, the company not only offers standard drives but also provides tailored concepts and solutions to address specific needs, including energy-efficient drives and explosion-protected systems.

From the NORD Stand, the first key highlight was the decentralized NORDAC ON frequency inverters, with particular interest in the NORDAC ON PURE version featuring the nsd tupH surface treatment, catering to special hygienic requirements. This service assists in finding highly efficient drive solutions tailored to individual applications. Second key attribute on line was the NORD ECO Consulting Service which assists in finding highly efficient drive solutions tailored to individual applications. NORD had also showcased drive solutions for End-of-Line Packaging that operate economically, leveraging controlled asynchronous drive systems with decentralized frequency inverters. The NORDAC PRO Control Cabinet Inverters, on the other hand, capable of handling powers up to 22 kW, offer a diverse range of interfaces and functions.

Apart from showcasing their innovations, NORD was also engaged in extensive discussions with prospects to gain firsthand insights into their requirements and challenges. Jörg Niermann, Head of Marketing at NORD, expressed satisfaction with the event, stating, “We had inspiring discussions with many customers and prospects and made valuable contacts. Furthermore, we intensively exchanged information with prospects. We found out about their requirements and pain points at first hand. We could then demonstrate them our tailor-made drive solutions for the automation industry.” The presence of experts from NORD specialist departments further enhanced the exchange of valuable information.
