To commemorate International Women’s Day, Hybiz TV hosted the 6th Edition of the Women’s Leadership Awards 2025 in Hyderabad on March 7. During the ceremony, Smt G. Priyadarshini, the newly appointed Director (Personnel) at NMDC, was honored for her outstanding leadership and contributions to governance in the Government Service category.
In continuation of the day’s celebrations, NMDC organized a mental health talk at its Head Office. Dr C. Manjula Rao, a distinguished Clinical Psychologist from Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad, was the guest speaker. The session focused on the mental health and well-being of women, underscoring the importance of resilience and self-empowerment. Dr Rao shared insights on prioritizing mental health and adopting a positive mindset.
Speaking at the event, Shri Vishwanath Suresh, Director (Commercial) at NMDC, remarked, “Inclusion and diversity should go beyond just words; they must be integral to an organization’s core values. At NMDC, we’ve already made history with our first woman director, and our female employees continue to break barriers, redefining leadership not just in mining, but across all fields.” He reaffirmed NMDC’s commitment to building an inclusive culture that values diverse perspectives and talents to drive success.
Dr. Manjula Rao further stressed the transformative impact of self-confidence and mindset changes, saying, “Empowerment begins with a shift in mindset. When women embrace their confidence and self-worth, they speak up with clarity and strength. It’s crucial that we boost our self-esteem and take meaningful actions toward a more inclusive and balanced society. Every step we take today helps create a better world for future generations of women.”
The event wrapped up with an engaging array of games and a vibrant cultural program, designed especially for NMDC’s women employees.
