NIELIT Partners with 8 Leading Organizations to Boost Digital India Efforts

The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) has taken a significant step toward advancing India’s Digital India initiative by signing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with eight prominent organizations on April 25, 2025, at Electronics Niketan in New Delhi. The ceremony, attended by Shri S Krishnan, Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), marks the beginning of a new phase of strategic partnerships aimed at strengthening the country’s digital infrastructure.

The organizations NIELIT has partnered with include Semi-Conductor Laboratory (SCL), ERNET India, National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, SKYROOT Aerospace, Institute for Financial Management and Research (IFMR), and Kyndryl India. The event was also attended by key figures such as Preeti Nath, Economic Adviser at MeitY; Dr M M Tripathi, Director General of NIELIT; Tulika Pandey, Scientist G & Group Coordinator at MeitY; Dr Kamaljeet Singh, Director General at SCL; Sanjeev Bansal, Director General at ERNET India; Girija Mukund, Director of CSR & ESG at Kyndryl India; Dr Krishnashree Achuthan, Dean & Director at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham; Dr C V S Kiran, VP at Skyroot Aerospace; Dr Prof. Mohammad Rihan, Director General at NISE; and Dr Narsi Reddy, Director at Heartfulness Institute.

NIELIT, an autonomous body under MeitY, plays a key role in promoting education, training, and research in the fields of Electronics, IT, and emerging technologies. With 56 centers of its own, more than 700 Accredited Training Partners, and over 9,000 facilitation centers across India, NIELIT is crucial in developing skilled talent for the digital economy. It is also recognized as a National Examination Body for accrediting institutions offering non-formal courses in IT and Electronics.
