NIBE Limited, a leader in providing critical systems for the defense industry, inaugurated its advanced Missiles and Small Arms Precision Machining Complex in Pune today. The ceremony also marked the company’s Foundation Day celebrations.
The newly established facility is equipped with cutting-edge Vertical Machining Centres (VMCs) with Computer Numerical Control (CNC), including models like the Kairos V5 16000 and the BMV 50 and 60+ machines. These high-precision, high-capacity machines are designed for manufacturing vital components for Small Arms systems like Light Machine Guns and Assault Rifles, as well as parts for Missiles and Rocket Launchers. This development further strengthens NIBE’s commitment to advancing defense technologies.
The event began with the unveiling of the Raigad Gate and a traditional pooja ceremony held at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Statue, honoring the legacy of India’s national heroes. Additionally, the Bhumipujan ceremony for the Ammunition Park in Shirdi was held with great reverence.
Maharashtra’s Chief Minister, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, along with Ministers Shri Uday Samant, Shri Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, and Shri Murlidhar Mohol, graced the occasion. Industry figures, including J D Patil, Arun T Ramchandani, and senior executives from L&T, were also present.

The event also featured speeches from industry leaders and awards recognizing key contributions to the defense and aerospace sectors. Strategic partners such as Sig Sauer, Elbit, Premier Explosives, and Sky Root were acknowledged for their roles in driving innovation.
