In a significant boost to India’s manufacturing sector, Next Generation Manufacturers Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of PG Electroplast, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maharashtra to invest ₹1,000 crores in a new greenfield project at Kamargaon, Ahilyanagar. The agreement was formalized at the Sahyadri State Guest House in Mumbai, in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Industries Minister Uday Samant, Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar, and other senior government officials.
As part of the state’s Magnetic Maharashtra initiative, the upcoming facility will focus on advanced manufacturing of air conditioners, washing machines, refrigerators, and related products. The investment is projected to generate over 5,000 direct and indirect jobs, strengthening the consumer electronics ecosystem in western India.
Chief Minister Fadnavis highlighted the state’s commitment to industrial growth, saying, “Signing these MoUs is just the beginning. Maharashtra will actively support project execution and maintain an investor-friendly environment through initiatives like the Maitri Portal and our revised energy policy that reduces power tariffs.”

The Kamargaon facility will be deeply integrated, support the local components ecosystem, and create large-scale employment. We appreciate the proactive support from the Maharashtra government.”
