Nexgen Energia Ltd, a leading sustainable energy solutions provider, has unveiled plans for a substantial investment totaling approximately Rs 3,000 crore towards the establishment of a cutting-edge compressed biogas (CBG) facility in the vibrant state of Gujarat.

Nexgen Energia is a leading renewable energy company focused on providing innovative and sustainable energy solutions. With a strong commitment to environmental stewardship, the company specializes in the development, construction, and operation of solar power plants.

The company’s portfolio includes a range of solar projects, from utility-scale installations to rooftop solar solutions for residential and commercial customers. Nexgen Energia is dedicated to driving the transition to clean energy and reducing carbon emissions. Through its cutting-edge technologies and experienced team, Nexgen Energia is shaping the future of renewable energy in India and beyond.

This momentous initiative was presented to Gujarat’s Chief Minister, Bhupendrabhai Patel, during a pivotal meeting where Nexgen Energia outlined its visionary proposal aimed at bolstering the state’s renewable energy infrastructure. The focal point of this ambitious endeavor is the establishment of a state-of-the-art CNG Compressed Biogas (CBG) plant, poised to revolutionize the energy landscape of Gujarat.

Additionally, the company aims to augment its footprint by setting up electric vehicle (EV) units and complementary infrastructure within the state, signaling a multifaceted commitment to sustainable energy solutions. Piyush Dwivedi, the Managing Director of Nexgen Energia, expressed enthusiasm regarding the forthcoming venture, stating, “Nexgen Energia is poised to inject more than Rs 3,000 crore into Gujarat’s burgeoning renewable energy sector.

This substantial investment underscores our unwavering dedication to innovation and sustainability.” Furthermore, Dwivedi emphasized the company’s holistic approach, highlighting the production of organic fertilizer derived from the waste and stubble utilized in the CBG manufacturing process, which will be provided to local farmers.

The agreement for this transformative investment, encompassing both the CBG and EV initiatives, is imminent, with discussions underway to formalize a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat government. Upon the successful establishment of the CBG plant, Nexgen Energia is primed to initiate direct supply of CNG to fuel stations across the state, enhancing accessibility to clean energy sources for consumers.

Nexgen Energia’s trailblazing efforts extend beyond Gujarat, with established CBG plants already operational in key states such as Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana. The company’s commitment to fostering sustainable energy ecosystems was further underscored during its participation in the prestigious Investors Summit in UP, where Nexgen Energia unveiled plans for substantial investments aimed at catalyzing economic growth and environmental stewardship in the region.
