Effective 1 October 2024, Alexander Steinacher will take over as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Austrian machine tool company EMCO GmbH, succeeding Horst Rettenbacher, who is retiring after a successful tenure.

Horst Rettenbacher has been part of EMCO’s management team since 2012 and has been instrumental as CFO in driving the growth of the machine tool manufacturer to its present stature. Upon transitioning his duties to his successor, Rettenbacher will enjoy a well-deserved retirement.

Alexander Steinacher, who graduated from Eisenstadt University of Applied Sciences with a focus on International Business Relations, brings 30 years of experience in finance and controlling, covering sectors such as automotive, mechanical engineering, and banking.

Throughout his career, Mr. Steinacher has held several management roles, facilitated market expansions, and gained international experience during his tenure at a global financial institution, where he served as Managing Director and Country Manager in Southeast Europe.

Steinacher will now join EMCO GmbH’s management team alongside CEO Dr. Markus Nolte and CSO Jörg Weinkogl.

EMCO, headquartered in Salzburg, Austria, is one of Europe’s top machine tool manufacturers, with a workforce of 800 employees spread across five production facilities in Austria, Germany, and Italy. With over 75 years of expertise, EMCO is known for delivering high-quality, customized, and automated solutions in turning and milling technology.
