Tejas Networks [BSE: 540595, NSE: TEJASNET] has begun shipments of its advanced IP/MPLS Routers and Network Management Systems for multiple state packages — including Madhya Pradesh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, and Uttarakhand — under the BharatNet Phase III initiative. The company is collaborating with Nagarjuna Construction Company (NCC) to modernize the existing broadband backbone infrastructure in these regions.

Through this partnership, the current linear broadband network will be upgraded to a high-capacity ring topology, strengthening connectivity across 30,841 Gram Panchayats (GPs) and 411 block locations using cutting-edge IP/MPLS technology. BharatNet, funded by the Digital Bharat Nidhi (DBN), is a flagship initiative of the Government of India aimed at delivering high-speed broadband access to every village, enabling digital inclusion, and bridging the urban-rural connectivity gap.

Commenting on the development, Manoj Penmetcha, Director (Projects), NCC, said: “Building a robust and scalable middle-mile network is vital to ensuring reliable broadband services reach every rural citizen. Tejas Networks, with its strong R&D foundation and proven expertise in designing mission-critical telecom networks in India and abroad, is the right partner to support this vision.”

Sanjay Malik, Chief Strategy and Business Officer, Tejas Networks, added: “We are proud to partner with NCC on this nationally significant project. This collaboration reaffirms Tejas Networks’ leadership in delivering high-performance telecom and networking solutions. Having supplied GPON systems in earlier BharatNet phases, our deep familiarity with the network architecture and operational challenges uniquely positions us to deliver exceptional results in Phase III.”
